How you can help

We’re looking for Volunteers!

Interested in helping out For the Love of the Lake? We certainly appreciate all the hard work our Volunteers put in every Second Saturday sprucing up the shoreline of White Rock Lake, but we can use your help the other 30-some days of the month as well. FTLOTL not only coordinates the Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Ups, but we also get involved with other lake beautification projects and try to help out as much as we can around the lake. We’d love for you to join us in these efforts!

Consider pitching in on some of the committees we’re forming and you’ll see how much fun you can have with other FTLOTL Volunteers. We’re forming committees to concentrate on various aspects of our fund-raising work, from a grant-writing committee (which will help with researching and writing grant applications to foundations and corporations) to an events committee (which will help organize special events such as our John McCutcheon Concert to Benefit White Rock Lake). Other committees include programs such as our Adopt-A-Can program), projects (such as renovating the Big Thicket building or our ongoing work to support The Celebration Tree Grove project), solicitations (appeals for individual donations) and company sponsorships (working to coordinate the in-kind donations that many companies provide for us, such as those that provide treats and equipment for our Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Ups).

If any of these committees pique your interest or if you’d like to help out in publicizing activities, helping coordinate the activities of our Adopt-a-Shoreline groups, or simply want to help out but don’t know where we could put you to use … rest assured, we could put you to use!

Just fill out the Volunteer Form or contact us at info@whiterocklake.org or call our 24-hour Lakeline: 214-660-1100 and let us know you’d like to help out. And thanks in advance!
