Thank You REI!
REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.) has long been known for their commitment for promoting environmental stewardship and increasing access to outdoor recreational through education, volunteerism, gear donations, and financial contributions. In July 2010, REI demonstrated their commitment in a big way by awarding For the Love of the Lake a grant in the amount of $10,000!
Volunteers at the August Second Saturday Spruce Up were on hand to personally thank our REI representative, Mike Williams, for their generous donation.
The grant is the result of a nomination made by the Dallas REI store, a member of a national outdoor retail co-op committed to connecting people with nature. The grant will support FTLOTL’s core program, Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up, help us grow the Adopt-A-Shoreline program, and help us develop partnerships to support community youth programs.
For the Love of the Lake is proud to partner with REI and grateful for their support.
