Please join us for February’s Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up: THIS Saturday, February 13
We’ve experienced a lot of rain these past few weeks, and rain always brings with it lots of trash to the shores of White Rock Lake, so we hope you’ll come out to join other White Rock Lake lovers at the next Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up, scheduled for Saturday, February 13. Let’s all band together to make sure the lake is looking her best!
Come on out to the FTLOTL office at Casa Linda Plaza starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, to collect your clean up supplies. And before trekking out to clean up the lake, you’ll be treated to complimentary Starbucks coffee, goodies from Great Harvest Bread Co., jams from Marsue’s Kitchen, delicious orange juice and rich chocolate milk from Schepps Dairy, tasty muffins from Highland Park Cafeteria, delicious goodies from Another Broken Egg Cafe, and refreshing Rain Fresh bottled water. Supplies are provided, including trash bags (courtesy of DPARD and Keep Texas Beautiful), recycling bags (courtesy of the City of Dallas Recycling Department), reach-it tools (courtesy of Keep Texas Beautiful), and gloves (courtesy of Harlan W. Nevin, MD). Participate in two consecutive Spruce-Ups, and receive a Second Saturday T-Shirt (courtesy of Run On). Music will be provided at the Lake Office on Second Saturday Cleanups by dee jay Darrell Bernard Tims.

The For The Love of The Lake office in Casa Linda Plaza, at the intersection Garland Road and Buckner Blvd, facing Buckner and Doctors Hospital near Guaranty Bank. (A note to Sprucer-Uppers: A few parking spaces in front of Guaranty Bank are reserved for bank customers. Please be courteous and leave those spots free for bank customers, as the bank is open on Saturday mornings.)
Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Ups are always a worthwhile couple of hours spent as stewards for our great White Rock Lake and Park. We would love to see your smiling faces on Saturday!
